Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Porto

Arrival at Porto airport, meet with your guide and start the visit of Porto, the second largest city in the country.

We will touch the major monuments of the city including Casa da Música, the São Francisco Church, called the gold church,

the interior of the Palazzo della Borsa and before going down to the hotel a prestigious port cellar with tastings.

Dinner and overnight in Pousada do Freixo overlooking the Douro river  in Porto.

Day 2Guimarães

Departure for Guimarães, the city that gave birth to the first Portuguese king in the XII century and therefore called the cradle of Portugal. Walking tour of the historic center and a winery of the famous vinho verde.
Free lunch.
Continue to Vila Real to visit the gardens and the palace of Mateus, whose facade went around the world as a label on the bottles of the mateus rosé.
The day will end in the Vintage House hotel, a charming charming hotel located in front of the Douro river and its fabulous vineyards.
Dinner and overnight in Hotel Vintage House (xxxxx) in Pinhão.

Day 3Douro Valley

Day dedicated to the visit of a port manufacturing company – and not only – among the many in the area.

or you can organize boat trips on the Douro, or off-road to visit the vineyards, activities to be booked on the spot.

Day 4Bairrada,- Coimbra

Departure for Lamego, and continuation to Bairrada, an important wine area in particular of sparkling wines.
Regional lunch and visit of a local wine cellar
Continuation to Coimbra, an important city of art and home to the oldest university in the country. Short tour of the historic center and visit of the University.
The planned accommodation is hotel Quinta das Lágrima one of the most renowned hotels in Portugal.

Day 5Tomar

Departure for Tomar to visit the Templar convent and continue to Évora.

Regional lunch in a restaurant or in the Quinta do Esporão winery followed by a visit to the property, olive groves and vineyards. In addition to wine tasting, a tasting of olive oil and cheeses can be organized.

Dinner and overnight in the Pousada dos Lóios luxury hotel structure obtained from an ancient convent.

Day 6Azeitão-Lisbon

Departure for Azeitão, crossing the spectacular Arrábida natural park,

to visit the cellars, perhaps the most beautiful in the country, with tasting.

Continuation to Lisbon

Gourmet lunch based on cod dishes.

In the afternoon visit of the monumental city: the Tower of Belém, an exotic fortress located at the mouth of the Tagus which recalls the times of the great navigators and which has become a symbol of the city, and the Jerónimos monastery, the two monumnets classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Dinner and night in a luxury boutique hotel.

Day 7Sintra-Cabo da Roca-Cascais and Estoril.

We will continue to Sintra, once the summer residence of the Portuguese rulers, a small city surrounded by a landscape of rocks and gardens. Visit of the royal palace.

In the afternoon we will go to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost tip of the European continent. You will return to Lisbon along the coastal road with short stops in Cascais and Estoril.

Day 8Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Lisbon airport
