Cycling in Brittany

Between the Emerald Coast and the Penthièvre Coast, dotted with renowned seaside resorts, friendly beaches, dazzling viewpoints, the  Vélomaritime route radiates. Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Paimpol

Paimpol lends itself to all your desires for the great outdoors, with the Pointe du Goëlon, and its heart the city, centered around its charming fishing port bordered by beautiful stone houses. Installation at your accommodation on the port.
Overnight in Paimpol.

Day 2 Paimpol to Saint-Brieuc

From Paimpol, you quickly arrive at Beauport Abbey. You will pass by the seaside resorts of Saint-Quay-Portrieux and Binic, charming seaside resorts classified since 1920, which also have charming marinas. Saint-Quay is also the capital of the scallop! Continuation by Pordic then arrival in Saint-Brieuc.

Day 3Saint-Brieuc to Cap d´Erquy

Breakfast then departure. An enchanting itinerary awaits you, along the Saint-Brieuc bay nature reserve. You will pass not far from many small coves, accessible if you set foot on the ground, before arriving at the famous seaside resort of Pléneuf-Val-André, then finally, Cap d’Erquy will take shape in the distance.

Day 4The Route des Caps, from Erquy to Fréhel

You will start your day’s tour by going to Cap d’Erquy, among the heather and flowering moor. After passing through Sables-d’Or-les-Pins, your path will take you to Cap Fréhel. Breathtaking views of the impressive cliffs and Fort La-latte, one of the most famous Breton castles. Built 70 meters above the sea, this exceptional site offers superb views of the Emerald Coast. Then continue to the small town of Saint-Cast le Guildo.

Day 5Saint-Cast Le Guildo to Saint-Malo

Departure for Saint-Malo. Pass by Arguenon Bay and its polders, an ideal place for bird watching. Round trip to Saint-Jacut de la Mer (+ 10km) possible to discover the Ebihens archipelago. Then continuation by Dinard and its Belle-Epoque villas, imposing, overlooking the beaches, which set the tone. Crossing by boat bus to reach Saint-Malo.

Day 6.Saint-Malo to Cancale

Free time in Saint-Malo in the morning. Then departure along the Emerald Coast, with its beautiful sandy beaches and spectacular headlands of this wild coast: the Pointe du Grouin, the Pointe du Meinga, the Duguesclin Cove … Arrival in the afternoon at Cancale , renowned oyster city.

Continuation to Sanlucar de Barrameda.

Day 7.Cancale to Beauvo

Bike ride in the polders at Mont Saint-Michel. A real feast for the eyes in this immense plain where the meadows of the salt meadows graze peacefully, with the famous Mount in the background.
