We would bike through Masuria, a region with a very contemplative lifeOften our natural bike paths lead by deep green forest, behind those we can discover exciting  history.  

Ride through beautiful landscapes 

While cycling we would have admired beguiling hilly landscapes with innumerable crystal clear lakes and channelsIdyll enjoyment for nature lovers! For the globetrotter we would like to propose highlights like medieval Toruń and modern Poznań.

Masuria is really beautiful: The country of 3.000 lakes and millions of white storks. Huge native forests and nature parks, wide heather plains and wonderful clean rivers and crystal clear lakes are part of the scenery, as are century old avenues.

For the globetrotter we would like to propose highlights like medieval Toruń and modern Poznań.

 

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival

After arriving in Warsaw you will be greeted by our local partner. Then you will visit the most important sights of Warsaw about which our local partner will tell during the City Tour. Next you go to the picturesquely situated hotel in Mikołajki; dinner at the hotel.

Day 2Mikołajki-Wojnowo-Mikołajki-

After breakfast you will receive your bike. The first stage of our trip leads through the beautiful
Masurian landscape park to Krutyn. Enjoy the kayak cruise on the Krutynia, after that you will deserve
a picnic with local specialities. The journey continues to Wojnowo, where you will visit the former
monastery. This monastery complex, built between 1839 and 1849, has « seen » many dramatic
events over the decades; dinner at the hotel.

Day 3Holy Linden-Sztynort-Gizycko-Mikołajki

We go to one of the most famous Polish pilgrimage sites, Holy Linden. Here awaits you a musical
highlight – a short organ concert in the beautiful baroque church. Then continue to Wolf’s Lair, the
former leader’s headquarters during the Second World War. After visiting this bunker, built in 1940,
sit back on your bike. The journey leads you to Sztynort, where you have some time to explore the old
castle ruins of the Lehndorf family and beautiful yacht marina. Next the bike tour continues to
famous town Gizycko, through picturesque landscapes that always offer a view of the numerous
lakes. From here you will go with the bus back to your hotel; supper at the hotel.

Day 4Mikołajki area

In the morning you cycle to the fabulous Mikolajki marina. Now you can lean back on a wonderful
boat trip to Ruciany and simply enjoy the passing forest and lake landscape of the “Puszcza Piska”
wilderness, the southernmost part of the Masuria. Before the next bike stage back to Mikolajki you
have a possibility to taste a catched fish. You cycle through a true paradise for bike and nature lovers.
You may even discover one or the other stork on your tour or one of the famous Tarpan wild horses
on the Popielno peninsula. Through the village “Wierzba” it goes by a short ferry back to Mikolajki to
your hotel; dinner at the hotel.

Day 5Nakomiady-Mragowo-Mikołajki

In the morning you go by bus to Nakomiady and visit a wonderful ceramics factory. From here, you
will cycle to a small village next to Mragowo. Here you will visit a local organic farm, where you can
taste different delicious sheep’s and cow’s cheeses. Then the bus will take you back to the hotel;
dinner at the hotel.

Day 6Poznan

Today you say goodbye to Mikolajki and go towards Poznan. There expect you one highlight on your
route: Torun. The city on the right bank of the Vistula was founded by the Teutonic Order in 1233 and
recently declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Birthplace of Copernicus, gingerbread town,
medieval town center. Torun has many faces which you will get to know by guided tour. Then we
continue our trip to Poznan, where you are already expected at the hotel; supper in a restaurant on
the market with regional cuisine.

Day 7Poznan & departure

After breakfast you you’ll discover the city during a one-hour guided tour. Next you visit the Museum
of Saint Martin Croissant- which is the famous culinary speciality of Poznan. In a
beautiful Renaissance tenement house overlooking the town hall, you will hear a lecture in a living museum on the secrets and baking of a tasty Saint Martin Croissants. Then spend time at the awar-
d-winning shopping and cultural center – Stary Browar. Now it is time to say goodbye Poland!
