What to Expect

The Czech Republic will delight all lovers of cycling trips, from the mountain sports circuit to cycling on the Véloroutes. With more than 2,000 castles, numerous UNESCO listed sites, varied landscapes . It is a destination that brings together all the strong points for a varied and successful stay . Prague, the wonderful capital, will be the starting point for our tour .Our route is  concentrated mainly in Bohemia and South Bohemia, with excellent cycle paths a very preserved nature.

Itinerary

Day 1Sunday: Arrival in Prague. Half-board

Arrival and private transfer with English speaking guide to the Mamma Shelter  4 stars hotel  or similar, At 19.00 meeting with the tour director to review the program of the coming week. 20.00 Dinner and accommodation.

** Passengers arriving to Prague after 21.00 would miss dinner

Day 2 Monday: Prague. Full board

Breakfast and departure for the panoramic pedestrian visit with English speaking official local guide. We will visit the main streets, historical and architectural monuments of the Old Town, (Stare Mesto). The panoramic tour will culminate in the Old Town Square with lunch (included). In the afternoon with our official local guide we will  visit the  Prague Castle, courtyards and interiors of the magnificent Cathedral of Saint Vitus, the Golden Alley and the Royal Palace, entries included. Dinner at the famous U Fleku brewery (1 beer included). Transfer to the hotel NOT included

 

Day 3Tuesday: Prague–Kutná Hora–Olomuc. Full board (300 Km )

Buffet Breakfast, at 8:30 am, departure to Kutna Hora (UNESCO) 65 km. The Gothic Cathedral of Saint Barbora (13th century). This beautiful Cathedral pays tribute to the patron saint of miners and is the main monument of Kutna Hora. The Italian Court, where Coin was coined until 1547, the so-called Stone House (Gothic style), the baroque church of St. John of Nepomuceno. During the trip we will pass through the town of Sedlec, near Kutna Hora, famous for the impressive human ossuary, the largest in Europe. Lunch in restaurant and continuation to Olomuc. Dinner and overnight at the hotel NH Olomouc 4 stars hotel  or similar.

Day 4Wednesday: Olomuc / Kroměříž. Full board.

Breakfast. City tour and continuation to the nearby town of Kroměříž with a tour of the town, seat of the Moravian archbishopric with impressive gardens, palaces and vineyards. Lunch in a central restaurant and free afternoon to stroll through its historical center, dinner at the hotel.

Day 5Thursday: Olomuc–Jindřichův Hradec–České Budějovice. Full board 300 Km)

Breakfast and departure to the south of Bohemia. During the journey we will stop in the city of Jindřichův Hradec, one of the most beautiful in the Czech Republic. We will visit the castle and admire the architectural surroundings of the medieval square. Lunch at Hotel Concertino and later on continue to České Budějovice, famous for the original brewery Budweiser (Budvar) and a city that preserves a beautiful and beautiful square, one of the most beautiful in Central Europe. Dinner and overnight at hotel Clarion Congress 4 stars  or similar.

Day 6Friday: České Budějovice– Český Krumlov–Mariánské Lázně. Full Board (250 Km

Breakfast and departure to Cesky Krumlov with our official tour directos, visit of Krumlov fortress. Lunch included. Continuing the trip, departure towards Mariánské Lázně, more internationally known as Marienbad. It is one of the most elegant cities in the Czech Republic and a place of recreation for the most celebrated political, artistic and cultural figures in the World during the XIX century. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Agricola 4 **** or similar.

 

Day 7Saturday: Mariánské Lázně–Karlovy Vary–Praga. (160 Km) Half-board

Also known as Karlsbad. According to the legend, it was founded in the mid-14th century by the Emperor Charles IV. Karlovy Vary means Charles´s Hive name that remembers the source that he accidentally discovered. The city has more than 60 hot springs, but in use there are only 12. During the tour visitors will be amazed by the beautiful buildings and could drink the precious liquid mineral. Lunch. Departure to Prague and accommodation at hotel occidental 4 stars or similar.Dinner.

Day 8Departure

Sunday: Prague-airport AD Breakfast and at the indicated time, individual transfers to the airport with an English-speaking driver to board your return flight..
