Tour Details

Walking Galicia, the lighthouses way

O Camiño dos Faros, is a hiking route of approximately 200 kilometers. Connect Malpica with Finisterre. A path where the sea has a leading role, and where we can admire all the lighthouses and places of interest on the Costa da Morte.

Stages

It is divided into eight stages. The calculation of the times for each of them would be estimated and walking without stops. The normal thing is to take longer, since it is difficult not to stop at every step to enjoy the paradise that surrounds us. On this tour the important thing is not to arrive first, but to savor the experience, so we recommend doing it without haste.

Route and Landscape. A Paradise full of myths and legends.

O Camiño dos Faros is a route that runs alongside the sea. However, although we will see dozens of beaches, we must bear in mind that it runs along a steep coast. On this route through A Costa de Morte there are constant ups and downs.

Virgin beaches and a wild coast will make this Camiño dos Faros an unforgettable trip. We will pass through the area where the best barnacles in the world are born. This is thanks to the bravery of the sea beating against its rocks. We will pass through places like O Roncudo, where barnacles literally gamble their lives to get this treasure of Galician gastronomy.

During the eight-day tour, we will pass through places of great historical importance, such as the English Cemetery, in Camariñas or with a relevant religious tradition, such as the Sanctuary of Virxe da Barca and its enigmatic “stone of abalar”.

We will be able to enjoy the magnificent nature of the area, not only its beaches, dunes, cliffs and forests, but also estuaries where we will have the opportunity to observe a large number of native birds.

Our goal, Cape Fisterra considered for centuries the end of the world, reached by Tenth June Gross in the sI, is a magical place, where the Celts honored the sun and from which we will enjoy magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean and the jagged GCalician coast. As we know, it is not really the end of the world, but it is an unbeatable epilogue for our nine days of walking through the natural paradise of the Costa da Morte.
