What to Expect

You will discover the Malta Lighthouses in the beautiful Mediterranean island of Malta, it will be a beautiful and pleasant experience . The island has a varied history and in modern times has gone from being a British crown colony to being part of the European Union. It is reflected in architecture as well as in the country’s culinary cuisine.

This lighthouse program is about visiting Malta historical lighthouses, giving an explanation of what each lighthouse is used for now, but also some of its history.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Malta

Departure from Malta International Airport and transfer to chosen hotel

Day 2Full day Valletta, Marsaxlokk & Temple Tour

09:00hrs: Departure from hotel and transfer to Valletta Port
09:45hrs Arrival at Valletta Port, near Great Siege Bell to see the St. Elmo Breakwater
Lighthouse & Senglea Lighthouse
11:45hrs Transfer to Fort St. Elmo and see the lighthouses from above
12:30hrs Lunch will be served in Valletta
13:30hrs After lunch we then Transfer to Marsaxlokk and visit Delimara Lighthouse
15:30hrs Transfer to Hagar Qim Temples
16:00hrs Arrival at Hagar Qim
17:00hrs Return drive back to chosen hotel
18:00hrs Arrival at hotel
19:30hrs Dinner not included

Day 3Full day Gozo

07:45hrs departure from hotel and transfer to Gozo ferry.
09:00hrs ferry from Malta to Gozo
09:30hrs Arrival Gozo & transfer to Ggantija Temples
10:30hrs Transfer from temples to Citadel
11:00hrs arrival at Citadel – no entrances included
12:00hrs Transfer from Victoria to Xlendi
12:30hrs Lunch in a local restaurant
14:00hrs Transfer to Ta’Gurdan Lighthouse
15:00hrs Arrival at lighthouse & walk up to it (this is a very steep walk up and only possible on
foot. For those who don’t want to walk up, possible to see it from the bottom of hill) –
JEEPS NOT POSSIBLE AS TOO DANGEROUS DUE TO BEING TOO STEEP.
16:00hrs Transfer to ferry
16:45hrs approx. arrival port
17:15hrs Ferry from Gozo to Malta
18:30hrs approx. arrival at hotel

Day 4Departure

Before 11am: Check-out from hotel to be done before 11:00hrs
